The coffee percolator used to be a very common appliance in most homes where coffee was served. That is until the 70s, when automatic drip coffee makers made inroads and became the most popular type of coffee maker especially in North America. However, coffee percolators are making a come back as they produce a very enjoyable type of coffee that is robust, strong and fragrant. Without the use of paper filters you are able to enjoy more of the coffee profile than you would otherwise.
If you haven’t tried coffee from a coffee percolator it is certainly worth a try. Some folks love it and some folks don’t care for it much. Regardless, if you’re looking for a good, no, the best stainless steel percolator then you’d be hard pressed to do better than the Presto 02811. The Presto percolator is a coffee machine that has withstood the test of time. Presto is an American small kitchen appliances company that was formed in 1905 in Wisconsin. Their percolator is one of their flagship products.
The Presto stainless steel coffee maker offers coffee from a very stylish Presto coffee pot that reminds one of the upper crust hotels and lifestyles of the post war period. More than that, coffee percolators are making a comeback and Presto is leading the charge. The gentle bubbling sound of coffee percolating is soothing and the aroma is absolutely delicious. Making coffee in this coffee percolator machine is terrifically easy with no more mess or spills than you’d expect in a regular drip coffee maker.
Here are just some of the great features of the Presto coffee maker:
- Electric stainless steel coffee maker offers that classic hotel look and feel
- Energy efficient at 800 watts, will brew from 4 to 12 cups at 1 minute per cup
- The perk tube as well as the coffee basket are both stainless steel for durability
- The coffee ready indicator takes the guesswork out of wondering when the coffee is ready
- The detachable electrical cord can be tucked away for smart storage
The coffee percolator is a very simple and elegant coffee brewer. Cleaning of the Presto coffee percolator is very easy. After the machine has cooled just rinse out the interior with warm water. Using a cloth with warm, soapy water will help clean out the coffee stains. Though personally, I prefer to allow my coffee percolator to season, so I seldom clean it out with soapy water. Making percolated coffee is easy and a snap. And for those of you who enjoy or would like to try a coffee percolator, the Presto 12 cup coffee percolator is a terrific choice.

I have tried most systems out there… But this Presto percolator extracts more flavor than any of them to my taste. All parts are Stainless Steel. I recommend making several smaller batches over the day rather than just brewing a big one. Best purchase to my quality of life I have made in some time. Highly recommended. – G. Burnell
