We’re gonna step away from the coffee now, nice and easy and focus on hot chocolate k cups. I know this will be hard for some of you, but it’s for the best, trust me 🙂 Actually, I think it is important to think about the options that are available to you with your single cup coffee maker. Yes, we’re all huge coffee fans around here, but I’m also a huge fan of chocolate. And when you put chocolate together with coffee you get heaven. Like the chocolate covered coffee beans I wrote about earlier. Today though, we’re going to focus solely on the K cup hot chocolate experience. No coffee involved, though I’d get a fresh cup of your favorite espresso cappuccino as we sit down to talk about this deliciousness available from the fine folks who give us Keurig coffee pods.
Keurig coffee is the makers and purveyors of the most excellent Keurig single serve coffee maker that many different companies are now offering K cups for. And as I’ve mentioned earlier, if you have a K cup filter, you can reuse it and use any coffee that you love in it. Like a 100 Kona coffee or your own wholesale green coffee beans that you’ve roasted to become your own signature espresso coffee beans. The options are endless.
Why hot chocolate K cups?
But it’s the hot chocolate K cups that we are talking about today. And when it comes to Keurig hot chocolate K cups you have 2 main options divided into several sub-options. The first is offered by Green Mountain coffee pods. Green Mountain offers their Green Mountain Hot Coca K cup for your one cup coffee maker by Keurig. From the many reviews that I’ve seen, as much as folks love their Green Mountain coffee, they’re not so crazy about the Green Mountain hot chocolate K cup. The major problems that folks are having with this hot cocoa K cup is that it is too healthy. Everybody wants to indulge in hot chocolate, it’s not a health food, and I get that. Seems that this hot chocolate K cup is thin, weak, with not enough fat and sugar in it to make it comforting.
But all is not lost. There is the other option amongst the hot chocolate K cups as mentioned above. That option, and a tasty option for your K cup coffee maker are the Cafe Escapes line of hot cocoa K cups. There are 3 options in these hot chocolate K cups with a fourth option that is not really a hot chocolate. My favorite is the Cafe Escapes Dark Chocolate Hot Coca K cup which has received some great reviews. Though consensus seems to favor the Cafe Escapes Mocha K cup and then the Cafe Escapes Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa K cup. Though all of these hot chocolate K cups have received excellent reviews. If you’re looking to broaden your horizon away from K cups coffee then these K cups hot chocolate flavors should be a great start.
Not just about hot chocolate K cups but tea too!
Speaking of these Cafe Escapes K cups, the favorite amongst these 4 is actually not one of the hot chocolate K cups at all but a tea. Everybody loves the Cafe Escapes Chai Latte K cup, which is interesting, because I consider chai tea to be quite an acquired taste. I love it, don’t get me wrong, but I have to be in the mood for it. For me, chai latte is for the cooler fall and winter evenings. However, tons of folks like it. So there you have your options for hot chocolate if you love your Keurig brewer. Of course, the Senseo coffee maker also have hot chocolate coffee pods available for it as well, and perhaps next time I’ll write about the Philips Senseo coffee maker hot chocolate options.
