The Cuisinart DCC-2600 is a terrific coffee machine if you’re in the market for something on the higher end and fully programmable and automatic. Very similar to the Cuisinart DCC-1200 which I have also reviewed here, the Cuisinart DCC 2600 has more stainless steel accents and all of the same features. For example, the DCC-2600 is fully programmable for up to 24 hours in advance which is very handy. And I know my wife takes advantage of this feature so she has ready to go coffee in the morning before heading off to work!
Another extra benefit of this Cuisinart coffee maker is its extra large size. Brewing up to 14 5 ounce cups of coffee is very handy if you do a lot of entertaining. And this Cuisinart coffee machine is one of the largest consumer coffee makers on the market. For example, the Cuisinart DCC-1150 is only a 10 cup coffee maker, although it does have a thermal carafe.
Another terrific feature of this Cuisinart DCC-2600 is the variable setting of the hot plate. This is a feature that frankly, I think is long overdue. There is nothing worse than burnt coffee. And I’ve found this to be the case too often, especially between that first cup of coffee and the second. Seems too many coffee maker hot plates are too hot, thus burning the coffee. The DCC-2600 eliminates that by offering 3 heat settings for better flavor retention of your coffee.

I’ve written quite a few Cuisinart coffee makers reviews and that is primarily because they offer great coffee makers by and large. And sometimes it is the small things that make a big difference to your enjoyment of your coffee machine. For example, the Cuisinart DCC 2600 has a 60 second memory feature so it remember where in the brewing cycle it was if ever there is a power outage. It will also remind you of when it needs a clean, so that you can extend the life of your Cuisinart programmable coffee maker.

This is a replacement for my old Cuisinart coffee maker which I had for about six years or so (the predecessor to this model). The front knobs on the front are now also easier to see and use.
