Hi folks, my name’s Rick… and I’m a coffeeholic! My love affair with coffee probably started before my first real love affair with Suzie in junior high. I was thirteen when I first tasted the bitter brew. It was delicious, probably because I added a good dollop of cream and about 3 or 4 sugars to the cup. What can I say, it was heaven.
That was about 35 years ago or so I guess. And sure, I drink tea and wine and other stuff, but for me, my fascination with coffee is enduring. I haven’t met a coffee I didn’t like, though in all fairness I do have my favorites but they change periodically. I will tell you this, I’m a dark roast man myself. Morning or night a nice cocoa and cherry noted dark roast is heaven.
I hope you’ll join me on my journey as I bring you as much interesting stuff about all things coffee that I can find. My observations, my likes and dislikes and my secret unearthing of surprise coffee delights. I hope you’ll add your 2 cents too.
As I type this I’m enjoying a nice espresso. I spent a summer in Italy a few years ago and I’ve got to say that they know coffee. I was having 5 or 6 espressos a day while I was there. Walking around, enjoying the food, fashion and beautiful women, I never got the jitters from that much coffee. And Italy is a place I’d like to retire too.
So bottoms up, have another cup.
Ciao,
Rick
